Edz Wingz and Drive-By Judgements
I wonder how many people drive by Edz Wingz on a regular basis and say ‘not a chance’. Edz exterior is rough and weathered; it definitely doesn’t invite you inside. Yet those that are willing to give Edz a chance experience joyful service and delicious food. You just need to be willing to look beyond the exterior to really experience what is happening inside.
In life, how often do we find ourselves ‘driving by’ people because of what we see as opposed to slowing and experiencing people for what they contain.
We are all guilty of allowing the shell (whether that be the label they wear or the appearance they have) to keep us from experiencing the beauty within.
Race. Political Affiliation. Religion. Financial Status. Job title. Physicality. They are all facades we use to determine if we are going to ‘go inside’.
The more people I meet the more awakened I am to the reality that the ‘shell’ is rarely a reflection of the heart.
I encourage you to stop letting the exterior keep you from what’s inside. There is a lot of beauty to be discovered in people!
…and thanks to my friend Ryan Adams for bringing me through Edz doors! Those pork skins though…
